Venosa è la patria di Orazio, uno dei più grandi poeti classici, che vi nacque nel 65 d. C., è oggi luogo di molteplici incanti architettonici. Qui si possono visitare: la Chiesa della S. S. Trinità del V secolo, al cui interno sono sepolti Roberto il Guiscardo e sua moglie; il Parco Archeologico con resti di epoca romana e annessa Chiesa Incompiuta del XII secolo; il centro storico dove è sita la Cattedrale-lavatoio del 1300 ed infine il Castello Aragonese del 1470.
