DAY 1.
Arrival in Rome, transfer from airport to Frascati, accommodation in hotel 4**** ne city center. Free time for individual visits.
Dinner at a restaurant and overnight stay.
DAY 2 CASTEL GANDOLFO - ARICCIA
Breakfast at hotel, meet guide, transfer and visit Castel Gandolfo and Papal Palace (including entrance fee).
Castel Gandolfo is a town overlooking Lake Albano, known for being the Pope's summer residence. We will visit the ancient town center and the Papal Palace, built starting in 1628 on the initiative of Pope Urban VIII
Transfer to Ariccia, lunch in a typical fraschetta (three-course menu).
Afternoon transfer to Nemi, walk through the village of Nemi (without guide).
Return to Frascati by 6 pm, free time.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 3 ALBANO LAZIALE
Breakfast at the hotel, meet with the guide and transfer to Albano Laziale. We will visit with the guide the Cisternoni of Albano Laziale, an underground route in the aqueduct cisterns that provided water services to the Patriarch Legion. After the visit we will move to the city center for a visit to the Church of Santa Maria della Rotonda.
Transfer to Lake Albano, Lunch at a lakeside restaurant (three-course menu).
Afternoon boat ride of about 1 hour on Lake Albano.
You will discover Lake Albano from a different perspective; the trail traverses the entire lake until you reach the southeastern part of the basin. You will admire the beauty of the slopes of the volcanic crater covered with dense vegetation, the excavation of the Emissary, and the Doric and Bergantino Nymphaea.
Upon return of the mini-cruise, free time on the lakefront.
Transfer to the hotel by 6 pm.

DAY 4 GYMNASIUM
Breakfast at hotel and meet with guide, transfer to Palestrina, guided tour of the Temple of Fortuna Primigenia and Archaeological Museum; the sacred complex dedicated to the goddess Fortuna, among the finest examples of late-republican architecture in ancient Italy. Among other finds, we will admire the marvelous Nile Mosaic, among the most famous masterpieces of the Hellenistic period.
Return to Frascati, lunch with tasting of local wines. Guided tour of the center of Frascati.
Frascati's historic center holds some real gems that your guide will show you during this guided tour. You will visit the Cathedral of St. Peter with its Baroque style and continue with the Church of Jesus famous for its "fake dome."
Individual return, dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 5 ROME.
Breakfast at the hotel, we walk to the Frascati train station (10-minute walk).
Arrival in Rome, meet with guide (daily public transportation pass), morning, guided tour of Rome's historic counter.
We will start at the Spanish Steps with, its "Barcaccia" and the "Spanish Steps" of Trinità dei Monti. We will walk through the characteristic streets of the historic center until we reach Trevi Fountain and then to the Pantheon. The tour continues to Piazza Navona dominated by the Fountain of the Four Rivers.
Lunch in a restaurant. Afternoon guided tour of the Vatican Museums (travel by public transportation). You will admire with your guide a variety of works spanning the ancient and contemporary ages: from ancient Egyptian sarcophagi to masterpieces by masters such as Michelangelo and Da Vinci to Dali and Matisse.
Return to Termini station, train to Frascati, dinner at a restaurant and overnight stay.
DAY 6 ROME.
Breakfast at hotel, transfer on foot to Frascati train station (10-minute walk).
Arrive in Rome, meet your guide (daily public transportation pass), morning guided tour of the Colosseum and Imperial Forums. You will walk the sites dating from the founding of Rome to the Imperial age. With your guide you will visit the interior of the Colosseum and move piously to the Imperial Fora, a place of Roman life and politics. An ,open-air museum waiting to be discovered. Lunch in a restaurant, afternoon free for individual visits. Return by public transportation to Anagnina station, return to Termini station, train to Frascati, dinner in restaurant and overnight stay
DAY 7 OSTIA
Breakfast at the hotel and meet your guide, transfer to Ostia. Guided tour of Ostia Antica Archaeological Park, you will discover one of the largest archaeological sites in the world. You will visit public buildings, residential houses and stores, and a splendid testimony of original mosaics. A real Roman city, the center of life at the time.
Transfer to Grottaferrata, lunch (with three-course menu), free time in Grottaferrata without guide. 5:30 pm transfer to hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 8 GAETA
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel
Excursion to Gaeta. OPTIONAL NOT INCLUDED
DAY 9 TIVOLI
Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel.
