1ST DAY PALERMO
Arrival of participants at the Hotel Piazza Borsa.
8:30 p.m.: dinner at Trattoria del Brodo
DAY 2 PALERMO
08:45 a.m.: Meet with tour guide and start the walking tour, visit to the Norman Palace, seat of the Sicilians ,today it is the seat of the regional parliament.
11:00 a.m.: Visit to the Norman Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, an interesting example of Arab-Norman architecture in Sicily that houses the only pre-existing mosque, with its verdant garden inspired by Arab tradition.
12:00 p.m.: Visit to Palermo Cathedral, Pretoria Square and Palermo Senate Palace. The Palace, located in the heart of the city, houses the City Hall that was once the seat of the Senate. The 17th-century sculpture, located in the center of the square popularly called "Shame Square" because of the nudity of its statues, is very fascinating.
1:30 p.m.: Small refreshments served at Osteria Ballarò with tasting of Sicilian specialties.6 p.m.: Aperitif at Palazzo Gangi di Valguarnera, a magnificent example of 17th-century architecture, the private residence of the Princes of San Vincenzo.
The famous film "The Leopard" was filmed in the palace. Return to the hotel.
8:30 p.m.: Meet in the hall from where we will walk to the Lanza Palace of Mazzarino.
9 p.m.: Dinner at Palazzo Lanza di Mazzarino, received by Marquis Hannibal and Marida Berlingieri.
DAY 3 MONREALE
8:30 a.m.: Meet with guide and depart by bus to Monreale, visit the Norman Cathedral and adjoining Cloister.
12:30 p.m.: Transfer and lunch at Villa Tasca d'Almerita, from Franca Tasca D'Almerita.4 p.m.: Transfer by bus and visit the Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele, it is the second largest in Europe. Return to the hotel by bus.
8:00 pm: Meet in the lobby and transfer by bus to Raffadali Palazzo, and dinner at Palais Raffadali, received by Princess Stefania Raffadali. Return to hotel by bus.
DAY 4 PALERMO
8:30 a.m.: Meet with tour guide, depart on foot and visit the Branciforte Palace and Museum, beautifully restored by Gae Aulenti.
10:30 a.m.: Transfer by bus to the Cape Market. Visit the market and the Baroque church of Santa Maria of the Immaculate Conception at the Cape. The Capo Market is one of the markets rooted in Palermo's Arab Culture.
11:00 a.m.: Transfer by bus to the Palazzina alla Cinese.
1 pm: Lunch at Villa Bordonaro, received by Baroness Antonella, or at Villa Lanza di Scalea ai Colli.4 pm: Transfer by bus to Palazzo Abatellis and guided tour. The Palazzo Abatellis Museum is certainly one of the most important museums in Sicily. The palace particularly echoes the architecture of the Catalan Gothic monuments of Spain. Return to hotel.
8 p.m.: Meeting in the lobby and departure on foot for dinner at Palazzo Alliata, received by Princes Biagio and Signoretta Licata of Baucina.
DAY 5 PALERMO
8:45 a.m.: Meet with the tour guide and begin the walking tour of the Gallery of Modern Art located in the Bonet Palace in Piazza Sant'Anna. The Palace is a spectacular example of 15th-century Catalan Gothic architecture and is now home to the Palermo Gallery of Modern Art.
Return to the hotel by bus. Luggage collection and independent transfer to airport.
