Umbria tour 5 days

DAY 1 ROME.

Arrival in Rome of participants, afternoon transfer to the Sina Bernini Bristol Hotel and check-in.

7 p.m. Meet in the hotel lobby to go to the Palazzo Taverna where we will be welcomed by Marchesa Violante Guerrieri Gonzaga top floor apartment of a family home in the heart of Rome.

Marquise Violante Guerrieri Gonzaga has always been passionate about cooking for years and has organized courses attended by great people from all over the world. In her apartment, with a splendid view of Rome, we can taste ancient family recipes and some of the best specialties of the Italian culinary tradition.

Return to the hotel.

DAY 2 ORVIETO

8:45 a.m.: Meet in the hotel lobby and depart for Orvieto.

10:45 a.m.: Arrival in Orvieto and guided tour of the historic center: the Rocca Albornoziana with its wonderful view of the surrounding hills, the Pozzo di San Patrizio, the Duomo where we can admire the magnificent frescoes by Beato Angelico and Luca Signorelli, the Palazzo del Popolo and the Torre del Moro.

1:30 pm: Transfer to Palazzone, the country residence of Anna and Alvise Chiari Gaggia, where we will have lunch.

3:30 p.m.: Depart for Perugia and check in at the Brufani Palace Hotel.

8:30 p.m.: Dinner at Antonio Coaccioli and his wife Nives' who will welcome us to their beautiful residence located in the historic center just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. Return to the hotel.

DAY 3 PERUGIA

09:00: Meet in the hotel lobby with our guides for a walking tour of the city of Perugia: we will visit the Rocca Paolina, the Porta Etrusca Marzia, Piazza Italia, the Palazzo dei Priori where the Sala. Dei Notari, the Cathedral, the Fontana Maggiore and the Porta del Sole.

1 p.m.: Lunch at "Caffè di Perugia" restaurant, one of the most typical cafes in the city, located in the historic center.

2:30 p.m.: Visit to the National Gallery of Umbria.

4:00 p.m.: Return to the hotel.

6:30 p.m.: Meet in the hotel lobby and depart for Villa Alfani Silvestri, also known as Villa San Martinello, where Clara and Paolo will narrate. Welcoming us for dinner will be Caucci Von Saucken. This beautiful residence was built in 1730, when the Counts Donini decided to build a village home on their agricultural estate. Return to the hotel.

4TH DAY ASSISI and SPELLO

09:00: Meet with guide in the hotel lobby and depart for Assisi. Visit to the city and its must-see tourist sites: the Basilica of Santa Chiara, the Piazza del Comune where the Roman temple of Minerva is located, the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi decorated with frescoes by Cimabue, Giotto, Simone Martini and Pietro Lorenzetti.

12:30 p.m.: Depart for the Monastery Sant'Angelo in Panzo, where Lavinia and Alessandro Marconi will welcome us for lunch. This superb historic residence was the first convent of St. Clare and is one of the most interesting in Umbria and Assisi.

2:30 pm: Departure for Spello, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy. We will visit the Augustan walls, the Consular Gate, the Venus Gate, the most characteristic alleys, if it is reopened the Baglioni Chapel, decorated with frescoes by Pinturicchio, or otherwise the Roman Villa of the Mosaics (which houses more than 500 sq. m. refined polychrome mosaics of extraordinary beauty).

6 p.m. Return to the hotel.

8:00 pm Dinner at "La Taverna" restaurant one of the best restaurants located in the old town.

Return to the hotel.

5°DAY SPOLETO

09 a.m.: Departure for Spoleto where we will visit the Albornoz Fortress, the Bridge of Towers, the Cathedral decorated with frescoes by Filippo Lippi, Piazza de Mercato, the Arch of Drusus and Germanicus, and the Roman Theater.

12:30 p.m.: Departure and transfer to La Villa della Genga, built in 1673, where we will be welcomed by Marquises Alessandra and Paolo Montani de la Fargna, for lunch in their cottage "Le Terre di Poreta."

3:00 pm: Departure by coach and return to Rome. End of services.

The tour includes:
