DAY 1 MATERA FD
Departure for Matera, visit to the famous "Sassi ", declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, represent an unforgettable landscape, characterized by houses carved into the limestone rock and frescoed rock churches that make it unique in the world. This natural conformation of the Sassi, evoking biblical scenarios, has always made them ideal sets for important films such as " the Gospelaccording to Matteo " by Pasolini and" The Passion of Christ" by Mel Gibson .During the walk we will visit : the typically furnished Casa Grotta, an ancient peasant dwelling that illustrates the reality of the book" Christ si è stopped ad Eboli" , the historic wine cellar, frescoed church of S. Lucia alle Malve, Casa Noha bene FAI Italia. Continuation to Dragone Company - wine producers in c.da Pietrapenta and lunch -degustation . Wine producers since 1955, today the company produces about 10,000 hl of wine, all from its own vineyards, of typical Lucanian varieties: Bianco di Basilicata IGT, Matera Doc primitivo, Lamina Matera Doc Rosso, Brut Silver Spumante, Ego Sum. In the afternoon visit to the " Crypt of Original Sin " , considered the Sistine Chapel of the Rupestrian Habitat for the valuable frescoes inside dated between the late 8th and early 9th centuries AD. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2 ROTONDELLA / NOVA SIRI
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Rotondella, located on the hillside owes its toponym to its circular shape and, because of its dominant position high above the coast ,it is also called " balcony on the Ionian " . The massive 16th-century tower and the " lamie di Bitonte " characterize the village. Among the places of worship to visit we have the Mother Church of the Madonna delle Grazie of 17th-century origin and the Church of St. Anthony of Padua. Tasting lunch at Masseria Battifarano- Cantine Cerrolongo, wine producers who are members of the DOC Matera. The wine production chain is managed entirely in-house, the grape varieties grown are: Primitivo Greco, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay. There are six wines produced by the winery, three of which are IGT - Toccacielo, Cerrolongo Rosso, Cerrolongo Rosato and three DOC - Torre Bollita, Matera Doc Moro, Akratos Matera Doc Primitivo, Le Paglie Matera Doc Bianco. In the afternoon, visit Nova Siri , once Bollita as recalled by the tower of the same name at the point where the oldest nucleus developed. Surrounded by hills and dominated by the silhouettes of the 16th-century Mother Church and Medieval Castle. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3 TARANTO / MANDURIA
Departure for Taranto, the city of the two seas, meeting with the guide at Piazza Castello where the City Palace, the Doric Temple of which two columns remain, the Aragonese Castle and the Revolving Bridge overlooking the canal that connects the Mar Grande with the Mar Piccolo. Interior tour of the Aragonese Castle, the Cathedral dedicated to San Cataldo. Continue to the Marta- National Archaeological Museum of Taranto ( duration 60 minutes): from prehistory to the founding of Taranto, passing through the Roman conquest, the late antique and medieval city, and the Ricciardi collection. Continuation to Manduria . Guided tour of the Museum of Primitivo Wine Civilization, an exhibition itinerary to bring adults and children closer to the heart of Primitivo culture , from the cultivation of the vine to the production of wine, with an engaging journey to be experienced firsthand, tasting of 4 labels of the " elitè" production held by a Sommelier. Walking tour historic center of Manduria. Return to hotel.

DAY 4 COLOBRARO / CANTINE TAVERNA
Breakfast and departure for Colobraro for the Amoreolio visit Experiences and flavors of Lucanian evo oil. Guided tour of the museum kicks off the multisensory journey: description of the machinery, we immerse ourselves in listening to how in ancient times the olive harvest was performed until the oil was extracted. Continuation to Cantine Taverna - Nova Siri, for three generations the family Lunati has given their company three production directions: wine, fruit and vegetables and livestock. On an area of 250 hectares , spread between the coast of the Ionian Sea and the hills of Matera, seven wine labels are produced: San Basile-Matera Greco PDO, Maddalena Basilicata Primitivo Rosato PGI, Sassi Matera PDO, Senso2 Bianco PGI, Senso Rosato Frizzante PGI, the Lagarino Basilicata Rosso PGI, and the Lucano Basilicata Rosso PGI. Tasting with typical Lucanian products from the area.

DAY 5 GROTTAGLIE (Crac Puglia-Museum of Ceramics)
Breakfast and departure for Grottaglie , visit the Grottaglie Ceramics Museum-Contemporary Art Museum. In the heart of the city, near the famous "ceramics district " , it tells the story of its land through objects that have characterized the everyday life of local traditional work and celebration. Located in the south wing of the Episcopio Castle, once the residence of the archbishops of Taranto, about 400 artifacts are on display, covering a very broad chronological span, from the 8th century B.C. to the present day. Lunch in a scenic seafood restaurant. Continuation to Tenute Motolese wine producers. The tour begins by welcoming guests in the ancient Farmyard of the 1600s Masseria Angiulli Grande and visiting the vineyards adjacent to the estate. It continues in the modern processing area and in the ancient stable now converted into a barrique cellar, concluding the tour with a tasting of Primitivo, Negroamaro and Fiano wines paired with specialties of local products. Afternoon walk in the historic center. Return to hotel overnight stay.
