Day 1
Arrival in Naples Apt and transfer by motor coach to hotel. Accommodation in reserved rooms free time, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 Naples
Breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and tour the city, which lies in the bay of the same name next to Mount Vesuvius, the active volcano still known to have destroyed the ancient Roman city of Pompeii. Once in the center, you will enjoy a guided walking tour through the historic center: Via Duomo, San Lorenzo and the famous Christmas alley of San Gregorio Armeno. We will reach " Spaccanapoli" passing by Sa Domenico Maggiore near the Chapel of San Severo with its masterpiece the " Veiled Christ," finally reaching Piazza del Gesù. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon panoramic bus tour, stop for photos from Posillipo Hill. Continue on foot from the monumental Piazza del Plebiscito where you will have free time to admire the exterior of the Royal Palace, Opera di San Carlo, Galleria Umberto I, via Toledo, Piazza Trieste e Trento. Opportunity to enjoy a typical Neapolitan cake and coffee at the famous and historic Gambrinus bar before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento
Breakfast and departure for Pompeii, arrival meet the guide and visit: the excavations extend pet about 440,000 square meters an enormous extension, an entire buried city with squares, temples, baths, gymnasiums, houses, restaurants. Day 4 Island of Capri, Anacapri and Sorrento
Breakfast and transfer to the Port of Sorrento, embarking by hydrofoil to Capri, an island in the Gulf of Naples, famous for its steep terrain ,exclusive hotels and shopping, ranging from high fashion to limoncello to handcrafted leather sandals.On this tour we will admire the island's mythical charms, such as its natural treasures, through the writings and legends of ancient Greece. Arrival on the island is transfer by minibus(not private) to Anacapri, which is located at the top. After a guided tour of Villa San Michele, which hosted the famous Swedish physician Axel Munte, free time will be provided. Lunch in a typical restaurant and early afternoon walking tour of Capri, along the famous Via Camerelle arriving at the Gardens of Augustus. Stop in the famous " Piazzetta " and free time for shopping or visit the Blue Grotto. Boarding a for Sorrento transfer to hotel dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 Amalfi Coast
Breakfast at the hotel and departure by bus to the "Amalfi Coast" Magically suspended between the blue sky and the iridescent-colored sea, the Amalfi Coast seems to have sprung from the palette of a painter who wanted to use the hottest shades of color to create a landscape that enchants the visitor at the first shot. There are thirteen towns scattered over a sun-kissed strip of land that has been declared a UNESCO "World Heritage Site." We will visit Amalfi, passing through the villages of Paiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini. Visit on foot, focusing on the Paper Museum, production of handmade paper, the Duomo- Cathedral of St. Andrew, the city's major place of worship, now the bishop's seat. Free time at leisure for shopping. Lunch in a typical restaurant and in the afternoon continue to Ravello, located 365 meters above the Tyrrhenian Sea is known for its extraordinary gardens on the cliffs.Villa Rufolo, in Moorish style and dating back to the 13th century, offers extensive views from its terraced gardens and hosts indoor and outdoor concerts during the famous summer Ravello Festival. Villa Cimbrone, a medieval-style estate perched on a rapid rise is surrounded by another celebrated garden. Continue to Maratea for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 Maratea
Breakfast and visit to Maratea the "Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, " visiting the Basilica of San Biagio, following the winding provincial road 103 consisting of highly scenic hairpin bends. With its white silhouette the Redeemer embraces sky, sea and land. From this position you will be able to admire the stunning natural terrace on the sea surrounded by greenery. Visit the Basilian Cave present under the Christ. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, free walking tour of the historic center: founded from the late Middle Ages on the slopes of the mountain to make it safe from Saracen attacks, the city of 44 Churches, as many as there are places of worship dotting the territory, several of them guardians of evocative treasures. Visit Immaculate Conception Church, St. Peter's Church, St. Mary Major Church. dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 Pollino Park, Piano Ruggio and Viggianello
Breakfast and departure for Piano Ruggio-Pollino National Park. Meeting with the guide excursion Piano Ruggio-Belvedere del Malvento, the path is simple very scenic and interesting to deal with (4 Km. a/r-dislivello 10meters-difficulty tourist ).After the ascent to Piano Ruggio walk in the wide plateau, classified among the most beautiful mountain plateaus of Europe, until you reach Belvedere Malvento to discover the Pino Coricato, symbol of the Pollino National Park. In the afternoon continuation to Viggianello, walk through the historic center of the town. Counted among the most beautiful villages in Italy you will visit the Castle of the Princes of Sanseverino Bisignano, the Church of the Assumption 16th century, the Mother Church dedicated to St. Catherine. Return to Maratea, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 Sasso di Castalda, Ponte alla Luna and Viggianello
Breakfast and departure for Sasso di Castalda small village in the Lucanian hinterland. The Tibetan Bridges - Ponte alla Luna route runs along the banks of the "Fosso Arenazzo" that opens right at the foot of the charming village. Through the narrow streets that branch off among the characteristic stone houses of the historic center, you reach the start of the first " Petracca Bridge" 95 meters long and suspended at a height of 30 meters. Following the path along the bank of the Fosso, one passes the Votive Chapel " Madonna delle Grazie " to reach in 10 minutes the start of the impressive " Ponte alla Luna " .Across a single span of no less than 300 meters and suspended in the air 102 meters above the stream below, literally walking in the air, one arrives at the ruins of the Castle that dominates the village from an impressive vantage point. Tasting lunch at the Voce del Fiume - Brienza, welcomed by owner Rocchina Addobbato, who runs this particular establishment among the most impressive in the region. Visit to the medieval village with special attention to the Caracciolo Castle that makes Brienza a place to scrutinize to learn about its past and its environmental beauty. Return to Maratea for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9 Certosa di Padula
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the Carthusian Monastery of Padula or San Lorenzo, the largest monastic complex in southern Italy as well as one of the most interesting in Europe in terms of architectural magnificence and copiousness of artistic treasures. First we visit the Museo Civico Multimediale: divided into three floors, within which the ground floor tells the story of the Vallo di Diano territory and especially the story of those three peoples, the Oenotrians, the Lucanians, and the Romans, whose vestiges can be visited at the Archaeological Museum of Western Lucania housed within some rooms of the Certosa di Padula. A few meters away we will visit the House-Museum of Joe Petrosino, the Italian-American policeman who was the tutelary deity of the American police (the central core of New York's Central Park is dedicated to Petrosino; he was the initiator of what we know today as the "fight against the mafia").Visit the historic center of Padula until we reach the Sacrario dei trecento, at a point from where there is a special panoramic view above the Carthusian center. Tasting lunch at restaurant Tutta nata storia Padula. Afternoon visit to the Carthusian Monastery of Padula with interior and exterior with adjoining Archaeological Museum. Return to Maratea for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 Royal Palace of Caserta
Breakfast and departure for the "Royal Palace of Caserta. "Inaugurated in 1780 and listed by UNESCO as one of the famous World Heritage Sites, the Palace was built by the Bourbons of Naples, rulers of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, echoing the style and splendor of the Palace of Versailles and the Escorial Palace in Madrid. The residence features four magnificent courtyards and a sumptuous park embellished with numerous fountains and waterfalls. The Palace Park and lascenographic "Waterway" fed by the Carolino Aqueduct, is a daily destination for thousands of tourists. In the park we will discover splendid sculptures inspired by classical mythology, water features, pools and waterfalls, including the Great Waterfall of Diana and Actaeon Fountain. Together with the park, which alone stretches for 2.5 km, the Reggia occupies an area of 45,000 square meters the residence itself arranged on 5 floors, with a total height of 36 meters. Abandoning the beauty of the park and gardens for a moment, we will discover the elegance and splendor of the interiors: 1,200 rooms,134 staircases and countless stuccoes, bas-reliefs, frescoes, sculptures and inlaid floors of stunning beauty. Continuation for a tasting lunch at the famous Azienda Sclavia producers of Terre del Volturno wine. In the afternoon, continuation to Naples, hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 Naples
Breakfast and departure for Naples airport ( based on departure time of return flight ).
